FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
All our most commonly asked questions, along with some rules.

If there's anything not on our list, feel free to come in and talk to us, we're always happy to help.
DOES IT HURT?

Yes, but the procedure is less traumatic when performed by a trained professional. Anaesthetic is available for certain piercings on request, at an extra cost.

WHAT SORT OF NEEDLES ARE USED?

Single use hypodermic and cannula type needles, size depending on the piercing.

WHAT ARE HYGIENE STANDARDS LIKE?

As strict as a hospital. Everything that touches your body is single use only, or has been sterilised by autoclave. All tools are stored in UV sterilization cabinets after autoclave sterilization. All waste is disposed of by a professional waste disposal company as per government regulation. Before any piercing, hygiene - as well as aftercare - procedures are explained and demonstrated. You are welcome to examine our work areas at any time.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY REGARDING AGE?

Please ensure you have a valid ID book. If you just look young, our compliments to you! Wildfire reserves the right to refuse services to people who cannot produce identification. Minors will only be pierced if they are accompanied by a legal guardian, mom, dad, adoptive parent, no aunts, uncles, siblings or friends' parents - we will further try to dissuade anyone under the age of 16 from getting pierced.

Certain piercings such as septum, nipples, genitals, dermal anchors, skin divers etc, will not be performed on anyone under 18.

CAN I BRING A FRIEND?

You are more than welcome to bring a friend / parent / significant other to shop, but they will not be allowed into the piercing area during your procedure. Cell phones are to be turned off and preferably not to be taken into the piercing area.

PLEASE NOTE

If you have diabetes, epilepsy, haemophilia, HIV, AIDS or any other contagious or infectious disease, you must inform the piercer prior to your procedure. This will be treated with the upmost confidentiality. This is for the safety of both yourself and the piercer and is of utmost importance. If you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, please come back later.

Wildfire reserves the right to refuse services to people deemed to be under the influence or at the piercing staff's discretion. We have a strict right of admission reserved policy.
